Four Winds Welcomes Suncoast IT Consultants, Expanding Local Support in Venice and Wellen Park

Four Winds IT has acquired Suncoast IT Consultants, LLC, expanding its reach among small and mid-sized businesses in Venice, Wellen Park, and southern Sarasota County. If you are a Suncoast client, here is the short version: the phone and email you already use still reach us, a Four Winds engineer will be in touch to get to know your business, and together you will decide whether Four Winds is the right fit. There is no automatic enrollment and no pressure, and nothing changes on your systems unless you choose to come aboard.

Four Winds IT, a managed IT services provider serving businesses across Southwest Florida, has announced that it has acquired Suncoast IT Consultants, LLC. The move expands Four Winds' support of small and mid-sized businesses in Venice, Wellen Park, and southern Sarasota County.

Suncoast IT Consultants, founded by Chris Kropilak, provided IT support and consulting to businesses throughout the Venice and Wellen Park area for years, handling everything from day-to-day help desk requests to full office technology buildouts. Four Winds is now reaching out to each of those clients to introduce the team and learn how they work. Clients who decide Four Winds is the right fit gain access to round-the-clock network monitoring, managed cybersecurity, and an expanded help desk.

What This Means for Suncoast Clients

You are not being rolled into anything automatically. The phone and email you already use still reach us during the transition, and a Four Winds engineer will reach out to introduce the team and learn how your business runs. From there, the two of you decide together whether Four Winds is the right fit. If you come aboard, here is what stands behind you: a full team, 24/7 monitoring, and managed cybersecurity built for the way small businesses actually get attacked, plus proactive support that watches your systems before something goes wrong instead of only after. If Four Winds is not the right fit, that is an honest conversation we are glad to have, and we will not be deploying any monitoring or security software to your systems unless you choose to sign on.

Why This Move, and Why Now

The combination reflects a broader shift in the small business technology market. Security requirements, cyber insurance standards, and compliance obligations that once applied only to larger organizations now reach businesses of every size. Meeting them takes infrastructure that independent providers are increasingly hard pressed to sustain alone.

That is not a knock on the independent provider. It is the reality of the threat environment. Around-the-clock monitoring, a security operations center, tested backups, and the documentation cyber insurers now ask to see are a lot for a one-person shop to carry. Bringing Suncoast's clients onto a full team means that weight gets shared, without giving up the local relationship that made Suncoast work in the first place.

“Chris built something real in South County, and the trust his clients have in him shows it. Our job now is to earn that same trust. These businesses get the local, personal service they're used to, with a full team, 24/7 monitoring, and the security depth behind it that the environment demands today.”

Dylan Borden, Vice President of Operations, Four Winds IT

What You Get If You Come Aboard

If you decide Four Winds is the right fit, you get the responsiveness Suncoast was known for plus the resources of an established managed IT provider. In practice, that means:

  • Round-the-clock network monitoring, so problems get caught and worked before they interrupt your day.
  • Managed cybersecurity built for the way small businesses actually get attacked, from email compromise to ransomware.
  • An expanded help desk with more hands and broader coverage than a single provider can offer.
  • Direct engineer access. When you call the main line, it rings to the team that fixes things. No ticket portal as the only door in.
  • A 100% U.S.-based team that has served Southwest Florida since 2014, with security that can scale as your business grows.

A Note from Suncoast's Founder

For Chris Kropilak, the decision came down to making sure his clients would be looked after for the long run.
“After years of serving Venice, Sarasota, and Wellen Park, I wanted to be sure my clients would be taken care of well past my own tenure. Four Winds is local, they've been at this since 2014, and they bring resources I couldn't offer on my own. I'd encourage my clients to give them the same trust they've given me.”
Chris Kropilak, Founder, Suncoast IT Consultants

What Happens Next

Here is what to expect. Your existing phone and email contacts continue to reach us during the transition, so you are never left without a way to get in touch. Over the coming weeks, a Four Winds engineer will reach out to introduce the team, learn how you work, and talk through whether Four Winds is the right fit. There is no automatic enrollment and no obligation. If you decide to come aboard, we take the time to learn and document your environment properly, so nothing gets missed. And we will not deploy monitoring or security software to your systems unless you choose to sign on.

Four Winds IT now supports more than 300 businesses across Southwest Florida, from Tampa to Naples, and serves additional clients extending north into Georgia and across the Southeast. The company has operated in the region since 2014 and is headquartered in Sarasota. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Questions Suncoast Clients Are Asking

Do I need to do anything right now?

Not much. When a Four Winds team member reaches out, spend a few minutes helping them understand your setup and how your team works. That conversation is how you both figure out whether Four Winds is the right fit. There is nothing to install or figure out on your own in the meantime.

Am I required to sign up with Four Winds?

No. You are not being forced into a contract, and you are not automatically enrolled in anything. Four Winds is reaching out to each Suncoast client to introduce the team and see if it is the right fit. If you decide to come aboard, we will set up monitoring, security, and ongoing support. If you decide not to, there is no obligation, and we will not be deploying our monitoring or security software to your systems.

Will my current phone number and email still reach support?

Yes. The phone and email contacts you already use continue to reach support during the transition. If anything about how you get help changes down the road, the Four Winds team will tell you directly and in advance.

Is Chris still my IT contact?

Chris has stepped back, and the Four Winds team is now responsible for supporting his clients. That is exactly why a Four Winds engineer will spend time early on learning your environment and how your team works, so the handoff is smooth and nothing falls through the cracks. You still get local support, now backed by a larger team.

Who do I call when something breaks?

You can keep using your existing Suncoast support contact during the transition, and you can reach Four Winds directly at 941-315-2380. When you call the main line, it rings to real engineers, not a call tree or a ticket portal.

What would pricing or a contract look like?

Four Winds is a managed IT provider, which means proactive, ongoing support on a simple agreement rather than paying by the incident every time something breaks. If you decide to come aboard, Four Winds will review your environment and put together a support plan that fits your business and budget. Billing is clear and itemized, with no seat minimums and no long-term lock-ins, and nothing is finalized until you have talked it through.

What services can I get through Four Winds?

If you come aboard, you get access to 24/7 network monitoring, managed cybersecurity, an expanded U.S.-based help desk, and Four Winds' full service lines: managed IT, security, cloud and Microsoft 365, and practical AI solutions. You choose how much of that fits your business, and nothing is deployed to your systems until you sign on.
